Horseback at Silver Creek Outfitters is truly a unique experience for all guests. We offer 2-hour, 1/2 day,full day and overnight wilderness rides to our outfitters camp, in the Routt National Forest, here you can enjoy fly fishing and hiking in one of our pristine wilderness areas! Minimum rider age is 8. Western equipment used. Helmets available. We keep 10-15 head of well-broke geldings during the summer season. Quarter horse and quarter horse cross are our favorite breeds. We have some thoroughbred crosses and paints. Horses and equipment are well suited for a variety of riding abilities. All of our horses are excellent on the trail. We have those perfect gentle horses for the inexperienced riders and performance horses for the experienced riders. We take pride in all our stock and we own all our horses.

 

Daily Rides

We offer 2 hour, ½ day and day horseback trips June - September. Our 2 hour rides leave the barn at 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM. The breathtaking scenery and terrain offer guests a different riding experience each time they ride. Sometimes we ride the valley floor with gentle terrain filled with wildflower meadows, aspens, pines and open fields. Another ride takes you up the mountain thru the rock boulders to fantastic scenic overlooks. One spot we call the '360' because our field of view is 360 degrees in all directions from the top of a mountain. Half day rides usually start at 1:00 PM. The half day gives you the best of both 2 hour rides. Our day rides go to the Sarvis Creek Wilderness and the Morrison Divide Trail overlooking our ranch headquarters. We utilize our horse trailer and start at 8:30 to 9:00 AM from the ranch.

2 Hour Ride: $70 each person

½ Day Ride: $100 each person

Day Ride with Lunch: $180 each person
